Parks and Recreation Board Formation

The City of Wakefield Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is now accepting applications. You
may apply online, by email or by mail. Applications can be mailed to 509 Sunday Lake Street,
Wakefield, MI 49968 with attention to City of Wakefield Mayor or emailed to
clerk@cityofwakefieldmi.gov. If you have any questions, you may call the City Clerk at

Survey!!

Finding attainable housing is a challenge in our region as it is across the State.  The Statewide Housing Plan was released in 2022 to provide a framework for the work required to increase affordable, attainable housing for all Michiganders.  As part of this plan, 15 Regional Housing Partnerships (RHPs) were formed to implement the Goals and Strategies found in the Plan.  With the help of many people across the region, WUPPDR has put forth a draft Western UP Housing Action Plan.

Our community’s feedback on the plan is vital to the success of the goals and strategies chosen by the RHP committee. Included on WUPPDR’s website is a short survey to collect feedback from interested citizens.  The survey will be open until September 25th.
